Ward only had 2-3 notable fights, beating Bute wouldnt put him at nr. 1 spot. Take a look at PAc's, Mayweather's, Donaire's resume..!
when did money, pac or donaire cleaned out the whole devision? if wards beats bute then he cleaned out the most talented division with dominant wins against very very good fighters; kessler, froch and abraham on his resume are better then what pac and money and donaire did in the last 5 years. i even hate ward, but this guy is the goods after what i saw yesterday.
1 Floyd 2 JMM 3 Pac 4 Donaire 5 Ward 6 Martinez 7 Wlad 8 Gamboa 9 Vitali 10 Bradley (Pac would be nr1 if he had won his last fight but i refuse to acknowledge daylight robberies much like Chisora vs Helenius) Also by now Floyds nr1 position is mostly based on theoretical h2h, his resume in the last 5 years is getting very thin. A flabby version of Marquez being his best win. *edit i generally do not jump on bandwagons but Wards resume is getting very solid and if he would beat Bute + either moves up or down and fights the top there i could see him jumping to nr 1 or 2 especially if Pac and Floyd keep dissapointing. (Pac by losing or Floyd by fighting irrelevant fights)
