No he has a lot to give in the SMW divison, he is still elite at the weight.

Ward is just a cut above and I will be interested to see where he goes from here.

For Froch the goal now has to be to become a 3x champ and I feel he could do it.

    Sadly, I think so.
Froch is 34 now and in his last 6 fights he has only looked top in one fight (Abraham). He scored a back from the brink KO over Taylor who was 1-2 in his last 3 fights when behind, then a SD victory over a fighter that hasnt done a thing at SMW and a MD against a fighter in his 40s who has a terrible SMW resume.
Froch has had a good run and wont want to go out like that, but I always feel Froch gives his fights away by stepping off, as if he cant pull the trigger and not pressing when required

No, he's just levels below Ward. A Kessler rematch would make sense now.

he is pommy though, and pommy fighters have a longstanding tradition of eing hyped, having a loss in a big fight- then retiring straight after

    hamed
    hatton
    haye
    harrison

    etc , etc
    - it seems as soon as the going gets tough - they **** off and retire at 30. sorry but true. not exactly mexican in their stay with it ness.

You mean like Kessler was after Ward and before Froch? Or like Cotto was after Pac? He's fine. He can still have a rematch with Kessler or a fight with Bute or Pavlik or Dirrell. Apart from Ward, the division is still wide open for no. 2 and a few available straps. He's got places to go.

Froch has never been elite to begin with imo. Ward is an elite level fighter, as is Pacquiao, Mayweather. Froch has never been on that level imo. He's a level below elite, that's why he lost to Ward but can beat the best of the rest.

Ah ****ing ****. Voted on the no, thinking the question was "Is he done at the world level?'' Why is the thread question different than the poll question?

Can he beat Kessler? Seriously? Did you see the Kessler fight? It was 100% competitive, for ****'s sake.

Nope. He and Kessler should do a rematch next year. The winner goes on the face Bute and whoever wins that fight faces Ward for all the marbles. It makes sense.

He always was. Even before joining the SuperSix! He doesn't have the skills required to be an elite fighter. When you're getting out-boxed in fights you're no elite. He's a B+ figher.

    No!

Froch (even if i don't like him) still got good boxing in him , but in the lost he shown his weakness (defence and precision) but he will never give anyone a easy fight.

Froch is good for boxing and i wish him luck , exept agains't Bute
