He's clearly top 10 but, at the moment, I have Pac, Floyd, JMM, Donaire and Martinez as my top 5.

Ward is clearl an excellent fighter, who can deal with a variety of styles. He reminds me of Hopkins at 160, although with less power. He can turn your qualities against you, is tough, strong, fairly quick and has no qualms about winning ugly.

Oh, and I'm Scottish, for whatever difference that makes.

Except I'm pretty sure he hasn't without looking it up, not that that's a reason for him to be above Ward anyway. Would Ward have a close fight with a 168lb version of Paul Williams?

He's top 10 but not top 5. Many of you guys say Froch is garbage and looked amateurish, and then place Ward in your top 5 for beating him? Completely contradict yourselves. Froch is a top fighter and Ward has done great the last 2 years, but he ain't in the top 5 yet.

I dont see anything special in andre ward, he has a little bit of speed, but his power is not there, and he fights sloppy, As of right now yes he is top 10 but theres absolutely no way he is top 5.

I know he wouldnt knock him out in the first round of thee rematcch anyway. Paul Williams is better than Froch so who knows.

Hes deffinetly top 10 now though.

Ward isn't in my top 5 based on his resume.

But he makes it into my top 10 based upon talent.

Top 5 nope, top 10 certainly.
But he is young and I think he will get there, but he isn't there yet.

Also, I would be great to see him, fighting in a hostile environment.

    Top 10 yes.
    Top 5... not yet.

I don't see why beating a guy who wasn't even in the top 10 p4p would make him jump in the top 5.

He has 2 class A fighter on his resume : Kessler and Froch... and that's about it.

Give him 2 or 3 more year of dominance at SMW and he will be p4p top 5, but you can't compare Ward just yet with fighters who won belts in many division or rules a division for years

Thats what I got too:good. I do not put much weight on record when judge p4p so just by beating Bute he would not automatically move up. I think the guys above him would beat him if the were the same size and weight. I can see serg sliding a bit because I was not overly impress with his last outing and given how poorly Pwill has looked lately it puts into question how good he needed to be to KO him

I think a lot of people dont have him near the top is because hes done great at one weight class and most top pound 4 pound fighters has shown sucess at every weight class they fight in. Ward is definately in my top 4. I have floyd/pac, marquez, donaire/ward. The slash is i cant decide whos higher but somewhere around there. Martinez was high up but hes fought lesser competition since beating pavlik.
