Martinez is overrated, Ward underrated. Whatever about his style, you have to recognise the skill he's got there.

That's one thread man, one thread. In general Ward is still underrated here. His style is too ugly, he handpicks slow opponents, he's dirty, he's duckin' Bute and so on. The man deserves his due. His resume is as impressive as Sergio's if you ask me.

Because I don't tend to favor feather fisted fighters. Ward is great though. Would like him more if he actually hurt opponents more often.

    Wlad top 5 P4P?

    Really?

I think an argument can be made for Ward over Martinez. Martinez' P4P ranking comes on the strength of his wins over Pavlik and Williams. Ward has a better resume, IMO. If he beats Bute then I'd put him as a solid #3 P4P...

The fact that peoples are saying that ,mean that Ward is finally renown. Take it has a compliment.

The difference between him and Sergio is that Sergio fought in more then one weight division , that's why i'm puuting him in front of Ward

Martinez is a great fighter and I consider myself a fan...but how do you figure he's "done better"? It's not that Martinez has gotten worse or I respect him any less, Ward has just outperformed him against better opposition and rightfully deserves to be ahead of him, IMO.

The only reason that i rank him higher it's because Sexy has been fighting in three division and he's now undisputted at 160lbs when he still could fight at 154 if not 147lbs.

I still rank Ward 7-8 though

I cannot put him ahead of Mayweather, Pac, JMM, Martinez or Donaire. He is impressive, highly skilled , and undefeated but these guys have proven it much longer.. his resume is good but its not death-defying that he must automatically be put top 5 no matter what Ring Magazine thinks.. Ie hs more talented than Donaire and Martinez.. probably.... but let him get another win before bumping out people from the top five... we are so quick to change our minds in a "what have you done for me lately" society.. give it time.. dang.. the other guys are way more proven

He's still unproven, and not much fun to watch

If beating Froch, Kessler, Abraham, and Bika doesn't prove anything, i don't think what will. He only needs to fight Bute, who should've been in the tournament in the first place. How many of the of the guys above him on the P4P list have cleaned out their current division fighting the top 5 guys in the division with the exception of 1 person? I can only think of Wlad in a weak division.

People now say beating Froch, Abraham, and Kessler doesn't mean much but don't have me pull up some of y'all pre super six predictions and make fools out of you. I swear I'll do it.
