Respect to Froch...Took his beating like a man. I look forward to c'n him in against Bute, simply cos i favour him to grind out a decision or even late stoppage.
Also to add. Despite taking so many shots and getting out classed on Saturday. You cad still argue he finished the stronger in the last 2 rounds. The guy is as tough as nails!!!! I reckon he would have made a great 15 round fighter too.
Bute or Kessler next would be fantastic. But it almost feels like too much to ask now. The poor guy deserves a break Even if Dirrell did beat him the run of fights he has taken is pretty special. Perhaps unprecedented. You might not like him but I don't see how anyone who is a fan of boxing can have anything but respect for him.
I respect his opposition and his determination but his gf is kinda meh. Fake boobs are a major turnoff.
nah, in the famous words of frank cappaccino "...nah it ain't over.....fight's not over!!!!" froch will continue to seek tough opponents, most likely up at 175 now. apparently he is going to fight bute before ward anyway so nah, his journey doesn't end here; fair do's to the guy he has had a string of tough opoponents and he ain't gonna stop here. march on carl.
England should be proud of Froch, I started off no fan of his but he has won me over. Even against Ward he performed with huge heart and tenacity when he could not match him for skills. Froch is a good old throw-back fighter and unquestionably has an incredible resume. He has been in with the best of his time and will keep going in against dangerous opponents (if Bute fight is on).
I'm a Bute fan that rooted for Ward. I knew that the only chance for a Froch vs. Bute was for him to lose the final. IMO Ward would have refused to fight Bute no matter what and Froch only if he would have won. Take a look at all their interviews in the past months and you'll see what I base my opinion upon. Also IMO, Froch is a warrior without him realising this. His cocky attitude made him believe he is the best **** since Jesus Christ and thought he is a favourite in each fight he was part of. Screw the odd-makers, screw the media! If he was a down-to-earth man, a more humble guy, then I would have appreciated him as the others do. What I saw in him was not confidence but arrogance. I am glad someone gave him a piece of reality.
The term resume is a bit overrated on this forum. I don't want to criticize Froch, but the guy didn't deliver when it really counts. Participating against top world class fighters, and getting credit for just showing up, isn't a good thing.....
