Ward did what he had to do throughout the tourney, and he knew he wouldn't KO Froch unless he got lucky, he fought an accordingly tactical fight and one which he knew he wouldn't lose a decision. Hats off to him for being a Ali type fighter who most always did just what he needed to win. Lets see what else he has, he can gain more power with training and technique, I think he is one that will stay around a while.
Froch is a very good and confident fighter. Ward did take punches in the fight, but he comprehensively took the fight away from Froch, despite Froch's effectiveness from time to time. This is a significant win and should not be overlooked.

After watching several of his videos, I have to say I think I'm becoming a fan of Anglosaxon. The man's clearly a legend.

dude i'm english and wanted Froch to win but what fight were you watching? Ward hardly got hit at all and made froch look like he didnt deserve to be in the ring with him. I love Frochs style, but Sat night we witnessed a performance from someone who is going to go on and be an ATG! People cant say Ward has a bad chin either, as when does he get caught clean?
That knock down was a lot better than I thought. he recovered quickly and wasnt on wobbly legs, and didnt run away.. although he was buzzed. Now Direlll when he was knocked down, NOW THAT was crazy LOL.
