No doubt about it that he could. Dirrell could also be the best 168 in the world, even the best fighter. He has quality speed, agility, explosiveness and reflexes. However this is negated by the fact that he is a ***** and Ward would could treat him like he did Allan Green and Froch. He'll get on the inside and treat him like the ***** that he is.

It would be an interesting fight for sure if Dirrell can keep it on the outside.

Ward would really bully Dirrell and stop him late on. I think Dirrell would give him slight problems in spots, as he can match him for speed and he's very athletic, but he has more holes then swiss cheese in his makeup.

Would love to see this fight, or Bute.

I'm a fan of all fighters unless they come across as genuine dickheads.

Aoki (MMA) is a **** and I hope his face is smashed in every time he fights. He broke a mans arm and then flipped him the middle finger!

I think it was Dirrell vs Stevens where Dirrell said something like "i don't care if they boo, i got paid". Hate sportsman who forget the fans pay their wages!

Then he ran like a ***** against Carl, fake the injury vs Abrahams and then there are strong suspicions he bottled it vs Ward and messed up the S6.

So Aoki and Dirrell are the 2 guys who I would like to see lose on a regular basis.

He could because hes quicker and hits harder than Ward but hes scared of getting into a fight and would be smothered and bullied by Ward IMO.He should have beat Froch but was so damn scared and instead chose to try and nick the title.
Would be a good fight but I think Bute is the one who beats Ward.

you know...before the groves fight i may have tended to agree based on the potential i seen in him...but the lessons from that fight made me realise something, heart and guts mean so much, as much as any other requirment in a top class boxer...degale for my money is extremely talented, but under pressure he will fold and won't want to dig deep and fight...just my opinion, but thats what i have seen in him.

fair play fella...you could be right...all three are good no doubt.
sounds like you're going to enjoy any matchup within those three.

I actually think he's willing to fight too much for his own good. Not using his strengths.

I don't think one could question his heart or willingness to 'dig in'. His skillset and IQ yes, but not his heart. He fights to much with his heart imho.

Agree with Slip there, James is partial to a good old gym war and his last fight showed he's willing to gut it out. It's his development technically/tactically that's hindering him..

    He's not defensive - he's negative.

No, he couldn't. DeGale will amount to nothing of note.
