your forgetting about the 4 channels with 24/4 hour a day sports coverage that come in the price of the sports package, and quite ironic seen as they have just had two british fighters in world title fight over the last two weeks alone.
Bit different to be fair, Sky sports covers many sports, Boxnation is shocking I can't see it surviving over the next two years.
The people behind boxnation would have know they would be making a loss for the first 6 months to year. Any time I've heard or read fwank talking he's on about a long term project and if they have that outlook along with golden boy top rank and the saurelands on board I think they have a good chance to boost their subscribers in the new year. One major major fight over the summer on in the uk live on boxnation and they could get a huge kick in numbers. Setanta got 40k new subscribers the week of the calzage b-hop fight so it can happen. May is a big month when all the original subscribers subscription expires
The person looking after that website needs to get their act together. For example we know Williams vs Conquest/ Sexton vs Olu is on next month but isn't on their schedule. Poor work.
Whatever number they do have, it is only those big big fights that will take it to the next level. Fights that the mainstream might hear about and get a few thousand average joes signing up. Klitchsko vs Chisora might do it with some good marketing. DeGale vs Groves II might be another.
Apart from del boys fight it looks like burns de gale mitchell and groves will all only have keep busy fights in the first 3 months. Needs something big on the domestic scene to boost numbers
On their fb page, me and another bloke recommended a weekend pass for casual fans. Something like £5.00 or £7.49. That way they get almost a months income and the mainstream fans might come pouring in for the big fights.
