That mother****er Hyde won't stop until Rigo has his first defeat . A fight in Russia against an undefeated Russian boxer with Putin as a judge is CRAZY ( unless of course it's a joke ) . Peace .

You have nothing to worry about, Guillermo will most likely destroy Bahtin, hes a few levels above him.

btw Mike Perez is appearing on the same cad as Garcia on the 30th of December. Its on shobox so its good exposure fo the two.

Saw the despaigne fight on youtube last night and he needs a lot better conditioning he was tired after the 1st round. A new trainer would also be a good idea someone experienced that he respects his current trainer is a kick boxing coach. I woluld like to see someone like Cuellar coaching him who has a lot of experience in what a light heavy needs to win. Despaigne is still scheduled to fight Miranda in Vegas but Hotel is TBD.

Top Rank has a Greeting Card on another site. Interestingly Mickey Garcia and Donaire are in the Pix but Gamboa and Rigo who are the true bests in those weight classes are not. Mickey Garcia and Donaire have not done **** in these weight classes but Top Rank is promoting them. On the other hand the better boxers who can beat anyone in 122 and 126 are not. Bob Arum does not love boxing he loves easy money.

Cuban prospect Erislandy Lara (15-1-1, 10 KOs) will face Ronald Hearns (26-2, 20 KOs), the son of legendary world champion Tommy Hearns, on the February 11 Ortiz-Berto card in Las Vegas.

A source indicated the possibility that on January 5 Super Six winner Andre Ward would be in Mexico City to receive his WBC belt from WBC President Jose Sulaiman.

We have information that the WBC has set a January 6th date for the purse bid for the fight between current WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. and former WBC champion and diamond belt holder Sergio ‘Maravilla’ Martinez.

Word is unbeaten former world champion Yuriorkis Gamboa (21-0, 16 KOs) will return on March 3 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles against former Olympian Rocky Juarez (28-9-1, 20 KOs) as a prelude to an expected battle against former WBA 135lb champion Brandon Rios. Gamboa and Juarez will fight at a catchweight of 133 pounds.

The postponed clash between WBA super bantamweight interim world champion Guillermo Rigondeaux (8-0, 6 KOs) and WBA regular champion Rico Ramos (20-0, 11 KOs) could be rescheduled as soon as late January.

Rigondeaux: We are focused just on Ramos
Report and photos by Reynaldo Sanchez

WBA interim super bantamweight champion Guillermo “The Jackal” Rigondeaux and his team are training in The Heavyweight Factory GYM in Hollywood, Florida. Today “The Jackal” told us that he is confident in beating the full WBA champion at that weight Rico Ramos. The Cuban had a sparring session today, going six rounds with his countryman, young super bantamweight Hairon “El Maja” Socarrás. The Cuban star Rigondeaux told us that at the present his main target is to be ready to face Rico Ramos on January 20th. “We are focused in the fight against Ramos and don’t even think about Bakhtin,” Rigondeaux said.
Gary Hyde, Rigondeaux’s manager is talking about a future fight against the Russian #4 rated Alexander Bakhtin, however Rigondeaux, his trainer Ismael Salas and his physical conditioner DJ Montanocordoba, emphasize that they’re preparing for the fight against Ramos, and after that fight they will think about further opponents, but for now they don’t know anything about Bakhtin.

On this matter, Ismael Salas said “Our goal at the present, is be ready to Ramos on January 20th, we can’t say anything outside of this fight. After we beat Ramos, please come back to the GYM and maybe I can tell you everything about the next fight!”
