Why do you think Pacquiao even stands a chance of beating Mayweather?

    Two things:

    1. Because Mosley was not willing to engage. His heart was the size of a peanut. Everybody will look bad against that.

    2. Because Mosley was only backing up when being attacked, so Pac was still landing some solid shots while taking nearly zero in return. Ergo, Pac still "looked disciplined" against someone who doesn't know how to take advantage of his openings. I always believed that a disciplined Pac will be difficult to exploit.

Disagree, Clottey was not hurt or buckled early on. It was Clottey's ACTUAL plan to let Pacquiao get his punches off, Clottey wanted to "make every punch count". He knew he couldn't compete with Pacquiao in terms of speed, this was why he was more cautious to open than usual.

    No, read above.

There is no doubting that Pacquiao has power, but like I stated above, Clottey already knew he couldn't compete with the speed, so what would be the point in opening up and testing Pacquiao's power? Again, he was not afraid of the power, he was afraid of the speed...and he was not hurt once, not even to the body where Pacquiao had basically free shots at all night.

No, Pacquiao got a rare shot through to the head, Clottey did a little dance AS A JOKE (very obvious to see), and actually started opening up more as the bout went on. Why didn't Pacquiao jump all over him if he thought he was hurt? :think

He is not wrong, and I can't remember you or anyone else saying this after the bout, I guess time has changed your memory of it. Possibly need to refresh it by rewatching the bout again. :good

    Floyd>>>>>Pac

I would be really really surprise if Pac even win by decision over floyd.

    Lucky punch, that's about it...

Other than that I see May picking him apart and getting a late TKO stoppage...

Weren't all of these things mentioned by Floyd fans plenty of times far before the JMM 3 bout? Glad more are starting to see these as key factors in the fight if they play out like this though.

Man I don't know if people want to ignore this to make the performance look better or if they flat out didn't know... Although I've said it plenty of times and linked to the article as well as others mentioning it.. Clottey said before the fight he was going to let Pac throw 30 punches and throw about 4 to his 30.. But he'd block all of Pac's and his 4 would land cleanly.. ****ing dumb ass plan, but it was his plan! All of this talk about Pac overwhelming Clottey is laughable.

pac has to be more patient in his attack. his in and outs dont work any more against a top fighter. they just know what he is gonna do before he does it. he should let floyd lead and then counter him. that is his best bet to win. if he attacks 1st, floyd will counter him all nite.

Seeing as how you avoided all of my excellent points I will ignore your question. The ref says keep your hands up at all times. If Victor would have caught Floyd the same rules apply. Victor was dirty and Floyd finished the fight.

Most of you arguing that PAC work rate would get him a victory know nothing about boxing. Opponents of Floyd tend to have a lower work rate because they don't want to be countered. Pac would show a great deal of respect and he his people wouldn't advise him to be reckless. Although I believe his reckless abandonment style would give him a better chance not to be shut out against. Marquez has proven this theory. But this fight won't happen between Floyd's personal troubles and Arum running scare and trying to Milk PAC out of money. I'm only sad about it because I could have made thousands :(

Pac has not shown nothing that makes me think he can beat Mayweather. All is opponents are tailor made for his style except Marquez. We all seen each time Marquez fought him how difficult it is for Pac to dominate because Marquez is unlike any of his carefully hand picked opponents. Floyd on the other hand has fought them all, aggression, slick, fast, counter puncher, southpaw, conventional, boxer, young and old. he's beaten them all. Pac is just another fighter, hyped up by Arum, media and fans with hope that he can solve the Mayweather puzzle. People please don't believe the hype.
