    Quite.

Calz struggled - to a much closer than the score of 116-112 - versus Kessler in a fight in which Mikkel landed AT LEAST a dozen clean power shots to Joe's grimacing grill. Mikkel was only able to land about one hard punch against Ward and was dominated to such an extent that if it hadn't been stopped early Kessler would have been KO'd. Joe simply doesn't have anywhere near the defensive ability needed to avoid getting outpointed by Ward. Joe would struggle to win any rounds because he isn't elusive.

People keep talking about Wards many styles but he always grabs, holds, headbutts and flurries then leans his head in.

Calzaghe would slap the **** out of Ward to a UD

Calzaghe wouldn`t of approached the Ward fight like he did against Sakio Bika. I couldn`t see Ward beating Calzaghe the way Calzaghe beat Jeff Lacy.

That doesn't make sense. How 'should' he have? Ward was nobody when Calzaghe retired.

Joe is speaking simple truth. He would have beaten the current version of Ward. But Ward is still able to improve further, which Joe can't do.

So who knows if the best version of Joe would beat the best version of Ward? Until Ward has retired, we wont know what the best version of Ward is.

It just amazes me that Calzaghe's greatest win is over a 43 year old Hopkins and he's supposed to beat handily, a 27 year old Olympic gold medalist who has just beaten the very best in his division in their primes. Something Cal never did.

Yea, and he's not only going to beat him, he's going to beat him into retirement, yea, after they poison and club Ward, maybe.

What I meant by that was that Calzaghe fought some good fighters in Europe, but all that gets ignored completely because he didn't fight them in America. His resume isn't as bad as people think, it's just that people ignore everything he has done prior coming to the states.

The thing is, Calzaghe wouldn't walk around the ring puzzled as Ward would slither away from punches. Joe doesn't think, if he needs to land 1 shot, he will throw 10. If you back away crab-style, he will dance circles around you, throwing those weird powerless slaps from every direction until you're lost and bewildered. To beat Calzaghe you need POWER PUNCHING and accuracy, and Ward is desperately misses the first.
    9-1 faorite Calzaghe.
