did son of a goat ever take the drug test? it seems he has amazing reflexes (and speed) which should enable him to not clash heads with his opponent so much, this tells me he is booring and a cheater/dirty ... constant holding, ducking below the waist, excessive headmovement/ headbutt attempts

I dont get how someone could make an argument that Ward hasnt done something is defence of Bute. REALLY?? Bute is yet to fight anything but a raw sluggers and a very old Johnson who was 2-3 going into his fight with Bute.

I know that some will say that Bute should get the fight with Ward mostly because he hasnt beat him yet. Bute is a very good fighter, however if the fight happened and Ward beat him then people would say that Bute was nobody. Which is the reason that these other guys are kinda getting pissed at what Im sure they feel is Bute being handed something they he hasnt earned.

I dont think that you need a that to get the top contender, I do think that Bute needs to fight one of those guys to truely prove that he belongs in the mix. Those guys just went though three years of hell while Bute watched and fought a legion of gate keepers, and 40 year old former top fighters. A long list of old fighters, from joppy to former lightweights.

 

Boxing fans want the fight.
Showtime who gave that opportunity to Ward wants the fight.
Bute wants the fight even in Oakland.
Only Ward now thinks he is too good for the sport and is finding excuses to not take the fight.
And his nutlickers followers repeat that message.

 

Maybe you would have a point if it was only Ward that felt that Bute shouldnt get the fight. How I see it is only Bute nutticks think that Ward has to fight the guy next. None of the others would have a problem with Ward taking time off then fighting a tune-up type fight. You know like the ones that Bute has made a career of.

 

I'd like to see Bute fight Andre Dirrell and Ward fight the winner, most likely Dirrell.

 

Better watch out, the Bute fans will be pissed that you think he should actaully fight a good fighter in his prime first.

 

Give Bute a Froch, Dirrell or Kessler first.

 

I have been screaming this all along.. If Bute can get past Andre Dirrell then SO be it.. Ward vs Bute..

 

I can see both sides here,but realistically Bute has to be faced to dispel any doubts about Ward being the #1 at the weight.I think we all know that a lot of doubt could have been removed on this issue if Bute had been invited to the S6.I understand a lot of people who followed their fighters in the S6 feel Bute shouldn't get an instant shot,and I understand Bute fans want to know (or prove,if you believe some) that their man is #1.
A good compromise would be Bute fighting a genuine top 4 first,then Ward can have no complaints.
Froch or Kessler would be ideal(I know,I know.Bute fans will point to Kessler not wanting the fight) and if he beats them(far from foregone,especially with Froch IMO) then a fight with Ward will be merited.
Rarely does such common sense prevail with clashing promoters and other problematic issues,but he will have to be faced if he fights and beats another top 4 fighter.
