Who's the better WBA regular belt holder, Povetkin or Haye?

  1. Who's the better WBA regular belt holder, Povetkin or Haye?
Seeing that Povetkin has just signed a fight with the dangerous Huck in Germany I think this question is a very fair one.

Personally I say Povetkin. His activity is superb and he's defending his title against genuine contenders while Haye fought nonsense men like Audley Harrison. Povetkin's victory over Chagaev I think we can all agree as well as far better than any victory Haye has.

Huck is going to get banjoed, his style won't travel up the weight well.

  3. He probably only needs to last the distance to win though despite having the same promoter as Povetkin. I don't see Saureland turning down the chance of making a fortune from a German heavyweight champion.

Povetkin is a bit too technically good for Huck and has decent enough power, I can see him stopping him mid rounds.

Haye questionably beat Valuev, defended against an old Ruiz and an undeserving Harrison.

Povetkin beat the real WBA champ in Chagaev clearly, defended against an old Boswell and will have a relatively dangerous fight in Huck.

Both guys ducked the Klitchskos, that is how I look at both of them.

I think Schillinger is around here somewhere as well.

  12. Haye for me.

Even though I don't rate him that highly he'd smash Povetkin, who's never really looked any good for several years now.
