Has there ever been a more complete (recent) fighter than JMM?

    Not as tech as Floyd
    Not as ferocious as Manny

    But the boy combines the best of both worlds

    Marquez used to be a GSP kinda fighter - impossible to beat but boring as as hell. So what he do?

    He completely transformed his style

    Went from a boring unbeatable counter puncher into a boxer/puncher

    Look at Floyds resume
    Looks at Mannys resume (primes)

    Now look at Juan's resume

    Its crazy how Manny and Floyd have all the spotlights, yet the bravesst of them all is kinda under the spotlight

    Good fighter who has more skill than Glass Body Pacman, but is still light years behind Money May.

    Depends what you mean when you say recent. Just over a decade ago a aging Ricardo Lopez was still complete. Andre Ward appears complete (apart from a lack of punching power) although he doesen't have as deep a resume as JMM.

    He is pretty versatile. Of course before JMM everyone used to call Barrera the most complete. All 3 of them were pretty good two handed fighters.

    His brother was too but was lacking in defense or neglecting it atleast.

    Marquez is more technically correct than Mayweather.


    I think the most complete boxer fighting currently is Roman Gonzalez or Juan Manuel Marquez.

    Morales and Marquez were and are complete fighters, yet it was Morales who had his own Frazier in Barrera whilst Marquez was Pacquiaos Frazier.

    Its tough to pick between them in their primes
