I've come to the point where I just don't think Pacquaio can handle intelligent boxers who employ good movement and right hand counter punching. I think Bradley maybe able to tick those boxes I thought it was close but I maybe biased and Pac isn't close to being as tricky and awkward as Witter was
I used to be a big Bradley fan. I love a guy who doesn't look like a superstar but is a really hard worker who loves the science. Bradley doesn't look it but he is very scientific and I love a fighter who takes a scientific approach. I just wish he didn't become a superstar in his mindn before he did in the ring. He pulled a Marquez/Wright and the issues with Alexander and Khan have turned me off. Technically and strategically I think Bradley has the answers to beat Pac but Pacs talent level is hard to get one over if you don't fight a really good technical fight. JMM did it boxing and as a counter puncher and it was still a little close/controversial on the cards. Bradley would attempt to do it as an aggressor and I think that may be his downfall.
I'm starting to get impression Bradley lets guys fight to show there weaknesses and then goes for them. I remember McGuigan saying on Sky for Hatton not to fight Cotto cos he's not shown enough weaknesses he wouldn't know what he's getting into. Bradley i think performed well against Alexander considering he was ill even on week of fight, plus fighting a negative guy who i think he knew didn't like war so he brought it and negated him really well although it wasn't a pleasing fight he did what he had to do.
Alexander and Casamayor were quite negative that they didn't allow him any time to shine but credit to him he went after them the best he could. They were contiously swaying all over the place and then holding, plus they were southpaw movers. If he has interest at 147 then Collazo may be a good fight for him. Collazo actually comes to fight. I haven't seen Collazos recent loss though so maybe he has slipped and no longer enough of a name.
Heard Luis looked poor last time but i agree with your saying he comes to fight but i think Tim's next bout has to have significance for his career. The Casamayor fight was pointless really.
I hope Khan fights Peterson in March and Bradley fights someone like Maidana or Morales in the next few months. Then these guys can fight for all the marbles in the summer. The fact is, whoever wins or loses, they could fight again at 147 because both look headed in there in the next 12 months or so. Bradley only puts on 10 pounds after the fight and size wise is a lightweight anyway, so he'd have to further push his frame to be at 147. He is doing so for financial reasons rather than physical.
To an extent but I think he's got that quality right hand which is something pac has problems with, solid fundamentals, smart, doesn't get hit much, adapts to his opponents, cheats with his head when he needs to, fights well on the inside, counters well Also you don't have to be a technical counter puncher to beat Pacman, if he keeps Pacquaio on the backfoot and fights him inside Pacquaio would also be neutralised. Allot of Morales success was keeping Pacman backed up
I respect you a lot as a poster, S&C. Interested to know what percentage chance you give Bradley in a fight with Pac (60-40 Pac etc.) Do you see him as a live underdog or do you actually favour him in such a fight?
He has the boxing but his biggest fights have been negative fighters or guys trying to box him because they can't back him up or have no answers for his level of boxing - Alexander, Witter, Holt, Casamayor etc
