Can Khan adjust for the rematch? Can Khan learn a way to fight on the inside a little? Can he limit the shots he takes on the ropes? Can he hault Peterson coming forwards, with standing his ground, maybe taking little steps back and making Peterson walk onto shots, or I think uppercuts which Peterson is open too?

I personally yes these adjustments can happen, as I feel Khan overlooked/taken a bit lightly the first in counter with Peterson who put up a tough fight but still fell short of winning the fight in my view.

Khan has to improve his performance and I think he will, he can not lose(on record) to Peterson again, it can't happen otherwise his career would really be in big trouble.

Roach has quite a job on his hands, it's not all about making Khan an inside fighter or improving him alot in that area, there are ways to stop that type of fight in the first place, or if you are there you don't get hit as much.

Let's face it Khan will never be a good fighter on the inside, plus Roach fighters mostly are not, but using effective footwork and tightening up defence on the inside can be the answer to that problem.

Khan just needs to cool it down and fight a smart fight, use his jab, uppercut Peterson at times when he is coming in, tighten up his defence on the inside, be effective and not gas out.

I think like the first fight a rematch would be Khan's to lose. Ignoring the points deducted Khan won on all three cards. He lost because he chose to ignore the warnings. He needs to improve his boxing IQ though, and develop some kind of inside game.

If Khan uses his ATG jab he can beat anybody, He's normally fantastic at using his speed to keep range and height to dominate fighters even fighters who are same height or inch smaller.

King Khan will be back with vengeance..

Khan was unlucky in the first fight but I imagine Peterson will jump on him from the first round and win a competitive ud. I doubt he'll waste the first few rounds trying to box Khan this time.

There will be no feeling out this time, Peterson knows he can bully Khan and I wouldn't be surprised at a KO. Remember Mayorga/Forrest, one had the silky skills but there was only one dominant Alpha male in the ring.

I'm in two minds. Khan and Roach practice boxing, moving, angles, jab, combos etc all day long for ages now but Khan couldn't do anything but use a stop and start style.

Khan maybe doesn't get the deductions in the rematch but does Khan get the kds AND does Peterson choose to box before moving to plan B? Get rid of the 10-8 round 1 and give it to Peterson because he may be aggressive immediately and I think Khan loses the fight on the cards.

Both are good fighters, credit to PEterson that he took away Khans range with his feet and his speed by not being scared to punch with him. The rematch like the first fight, comes down to execution.

This, I think Peterson takes it again, unless golden boy get a ref like Cortez, that'll let Khan push, bully and cheat till the cows come home.

Peterson knows that boxing with Khan won't work. He's too quick, but he does know Khan struggles when denied distance.

  10. Peterson will beat him again, unless this protest is a smokescreen for Khan working his balls off in the gym on things like footwork and inside fighting.

 I believe Peterson will have to fight same fight as he did over last 9 rounds of fight. He has to press the fight but he seriously needs to cut ring off better and lets his hands go more. He did a great job but Khan will be looking to fight a Kotelnik type fight IMO. He will take no risks or will be told to take none so Lamont's gonna have to cut the ring down more rather then ploughing forwards hoping Khan stands his ground.

I think if Peterson brings intensity, and develops on that gameplan that saw him trouble Khan he will win. He will need a strong ref that's for sure cos he will be under huge pressure as soon as fight gets close to separate.

In my opinion Peterson has just as much improving to do as Khan has. Khan's shortcomings have almost shadowed the fact that Peterson really is quite poor at closing the ring down.

Agreed he was very poor at it, suppose it's not his natural game but against Khan in a rematch he's gonna have to do it but do it well. Maidana ****ed up stopping Khan cos of his footwork if he had ability to cut ring down round 10,11,12 he'd of trapped Khan and stopped him. It's ridiculously overlooked skill, I remember Roach being shocked at OLDH in a training session he said about cutting ring off and ODLH said he didn't know how to..

  15. You don't have to be much good to close him down, because Khan's excessive movement does the job for you, meaning that you can just chug forward and have opportunities to land.

What Peterson did do well was let his hands go once he was in punching range, and take the meat off Khan's shots..... his body work in particular was good.

He's a natural boxer to me who'd prefer to face a pressure fighter who he can weigh up before deciding what to do. The ''Hatton style'' doesn't really lend itself to him.
