Martinez is a boxer which relies on his good reflexes , he's an athletic person.

He has 37 years old and these good reflexes start to slow down , regardless what type of training , nutrition life style you have.

How long do you see Martinez boxing ,up to what age ??

What fights/names would help Martinez (at MW) to strengthen his career ??

He started late and he went into boxing with an athletic background. Thats probably why he is still going strong.

You can never guess with someone like Martinez. His first fight with Williams, shortens careers but his second fight lengthens careers. Will he be fighting elite fighters or will he fight the odd bs fight.

Well he's still fresh, at peak right now his only let down for longevity will be his lack of serious fundamentals. He relies a lot on his feet, angles and speed of punches but he's already had a long career and i think he wants to cash in now and get out before 40 IMO.

Nothing like Hopkins. They rely on different things. And 'Nard didn't start at 21 (Sorry for being pedantic).

He's not really showing any signs of ageing to my un trained eye, to be fair with the type of fighter he is he's done well to be division king pin at his current age.

The old saying "age is just a number" can be very true in boxing, in that one man's 37 is a big jump from another man's 37. Everyone's different. I know very different fighters, but look at the deterioration that Mosely has had since around the same age.

indeed, they are different ........ not many boxers could box at 47 years old at the higher level as Hopkins does. Hokins , as he said , has a healthy live style , but I think his "mathematical style" of fighting it helps him to win in the ring and be very competitive , and of course his big experience .

Martinez relies most on his good reflexes and his athleticism but these will go down with the age.
