After years of fans begging for Mayweather and Pacquiao to meet in the ring, maybe the fight is simply destined to never happen.

Top Rank's Bob Arum, Pacquiao's promoter, never really seemed to want to make the fight in the first place, and Mayweather's sentence lets him off the hook.
With Mayweather out of the picture, Arum can go right ahead and make a fourth fight between Pacquiao and Marquez in the spring.

Mayweather played himself outa pocket with the judge. He never showed any remorse or made any attempt to change his behavior. The judge was looking for a reason to demostrate on his ass. I havent seen any pictures of his ex after the so-called assualt. If she was bruised up, there would have been plenty of pictures from the haters, plus he was allowed custody of his children. SIX MONTHS!!! Thats ****ed up but its Mayweathers fault for giving that control freak judge a chance to dig in his pockets for millions cause thats what he stands to lose by not fighting Pac this year.A fight next year might not generate the money that a fight in may would have generated. Bad move on Floyds end.:bbb:bbb

Did Mayweather want it when he went on "vacation" and said he wasn't interested in boxing?

Here is the original transcript of the on-the-record interview I did with George Peterson on December 2, 2009…(Keep in mind Peterson works closely with Floyd’s advisor Al Haymon in directing the career of Paul Williams.)

BoxingInsider: Who do you see winning Pacquiao vs. Floyd?
    Peterson: “

    .”
    BoxingInsider: You don’t think so?
    Peterson: “No.”
    BoxingInsider: Why not?
    Peterson: “

BoxingInsider: Why not? Everyone wants to see it?
Peterson: “A lot of people want to see it but
    This content is protected
    .”
BoxingInsider: Mayweather doesn’t want it does he?
    Peterson: “Ah,
    This content is protected
    .”
BoxingInsider: You’re saying it with a lot of certainty in your voice.
Peterson: “Yes sir. Yes sir. If it was gonna be made it would be made by now.”
BoxingInsider: Who doesn’t want to pull the trigger? (I know Mayweather is the chicken here, just want to try to get more from the source.)
    Peterson: “
    This content is protected
    .”
BoxingInsider: You know something but won’t say it.
    Peterson: [Smiles].
BoxingInsider: Who would win, if it was made? Just for fun?
    Peterson: “

    .”
BoxingInsider: I hear you, it’s not even worth wasting the energy on a fight that is fantasy.
    Peterson: “

Neither fighter has ever wanted the fight. Stevie Wonder could see that from the get go.

Floyd may have been avoiding in the past, but the last duck is all Arum. I still think the fight will happen, just in late 2012, if Pac beats Marquez decisively... so yeah, if the fight happens, the luster will be even less.

I have a bad feeling if Pac loses to Marquez he will retire and use the fact that he wants to put 100% on his political career.
