Disappointing really. How is this supposed to prepare Povetkin for a potential Klit fight? Teddy keeps saying they aren't ready, I don't see how this helps matters any. There are many better fights than this to be made. Povetkin milking his paper belt i guess. That's the problem with those stupid made up belts, if Povetkin didn't have it he would be forced to be chasing a klit fight, instead he's fighting old men and blown up cruisers now I guess.
Huck is a good fighter it will be a good win povetkin, but doesnt really add much to his legacy. He should be only fighting top 5 contenders or taking fights to help him prepare for a klitschko, opponents like Price, Fury, Dimitrenko etc
It does reflect positively on Huck's intent if this is the sort of fight he wants as his first HW fight
Should at least be pretty entertaining, and since Povetkin still isn't ready to take a legacy fight vs Wlad or Vitali, entertaining fights with him are the next best thing. Povetkin KO8
Believe it or not, Rahman is the mandatory and he stated he will not step aside. Povetkin already had his voluntary fight which was with Boswell. Huck should fight a top ten HW like Adamek did and pay his dues with at least one HW fight.
None of these recent fights of Povetkin add anything to his legacy nor do they prepare him for the K brothers. Chagaev, Boswell, Huck and the string of bums Povetkin fought are nowhere close to the K brothers. All these are is easy paydays without getting turned to groundmeat by Wlad. Povetkin is dreading the day he has to step in the ring with Wlad and rather keeps delaying the inevitable.
Povetkin should win this easily. What he really should though is to grow some balls and face a Klit. It's been five years now!
I think most cruisers would do the same if they had the chance, povetkin isn't the biggest heavyweight around nor the best
haye, adamek, mormeck, Juan Carlos Gomez, evander holyfield, ossie ocasio, Jirov etc didn't face the 3rd best hw when they moved up. So I dont think it's what most cruiserweights would do. So I think he deserves respect for taking on Povetkin his first heavyweight fight.
Where did I say he didn't deserve respect? I was just making the point that I bet one or two others would like to of done the same, do u really think huck would of went straight for a klitschko if povetkin wasn't a 'champ' and I say that very loosely?
