I was surprised at how much energy the guy has for someone with Parkinsons! You can tell he lives and breathes boxing. Glad you took your 5yr old to the weigh-in, she must have loved all the excitement. Didn't know you were Irish gasman?!
Tyson told us that he wished he'd got with Roach severak years earlier than he did, thought things couldve been different. Said Roach was the only coach was teaching him since the early days. More or less said he was telling his other trainers how to train him and what he wanted to do.
I'd just climbed the hollywood hils 15mins earlier. Felt ****ed from the night before too. And yup, got the receding hairline too. Defo wasn't expecting a photo with the man but just chanced the visit anyways. DAMN!
:yep I got my daughter's pic taken with Roach, Mickey Buffer, Jamie Kavanagh (total gent) and Eamon Magee at the weigh in. I have pointed out all of them to her on tv, she does a wicked 'lets ready to rumble' :yep
That's it. I'm off to LA in the summer. And not just for Freddie and the wildcard. One of my mates does business with a firm called Lockton in one of those huge high risers on S. Figueroa across from the Staples arena. Were you ever in that spot, mate? If any of you are ever in that area on a week day summer morning, go to the Starbuck's at the base of that first big sky scraper where that outdoor mall/eatery is. The thousands of women in those summer business skirts will drive you crazy! Damn, get me to L.A. please, and the basketball team and a certain little boxing gym is not bad either! lol.
This thread is full of epic, great stuff. Shame Chavez Jr wasn't there for longer, supposedly he's a pretty nice guy too.
