I agree bute hasnt fought anyone yet. But if he fight bute now, he can move to 175 right after that fight because will have officially cleaned out the division. Unless he wants to let the bute fight continue to build and get a huge payday. I know first hand bay area cost of living is not cheap.

 

Ward is the top dog right now. If Bute wants the fight, he needs to beat a name and then get on the next flight to Oakland, because Ward dictates the terms.

And before some Bute nuthugger jumps on me, live gate numbers really don't mean ****. Ward now has a big name, thanks to Showtime, and that's what counts the most.

and to answer your question no Bute wouldn't fight Anthony Dirrell, Wards Manditory WBC opponet.. But if Bute offered him a fight Anthony DIrrell would take it in a heartbeat..

Like Ward said Andre Dirrell is on the comback trail.. he might be interested in a fight with BUte..

I just know that a fight now for Wards vanatge point with Bute is a bit early.. Say he beats Bute, WHats next at 168??? you think then that Kessler or Stieglitz would want to fight him after that? Probably not...

So then he has to Campain at 175 before he would like to.. He doing things his way..

funny,i thought Bute has 30 profesional fights at this point.Do your research,Bute has more fights with guys rated in top 10 smw than Ward.It's ok,we don't expect casual fans who know nothing about boxing to know facts,they only know "super6 was the best tournament whit the best fighters out there"..so it's a common mistake made by guys like you who have no clue to think Bute hasn't fought anyone

In my book, he has earned that. It is not his fault that a boxer as talented as Bute wasn't included in the S6 bussiness.

, his statements do not match his behaviour. He's saying this and he's doing that. This is a clear tactic to avoid a guy he just doesn't want to fight right away. Why? Because he could lose. In street terms, at this moment, Ward doesn't have the balls to take on a fight that could easily go the other way.

I'm eagger to fight Bute, but not right now. I want to enjoy myself a couple of months, winning some easy fights, and then sure, we can talk about an unification bout with Bute.

 

he is ducking and he's trying to throw it in Butes yard by saying that crap,just like Kessler did with the "one krone offer" or Pavlik for demanding 3 millions.it's funny how they all complain Bute hasn't fought anyone and when Bute calls them they say "hell no,he should fight someone else before me".......

 

I guess this is a matter of character. You're saying that we should all praise Andre Ward for becoming such a great champion even if he is talking nonsense? I don't think so. If you are the champion you say you are and one guy who's an undefeated world champion in the same division wants to fight you,

That is if we're talking about boxing as a question of character. If we see the sport from an economical-pragmatic perspective, he's right to refuse the fight, simply because it is a management risk.

is a talented, world recognized, way-too-careful top fighter. Call me sentimental, but the quintessential of a true champion can not be in any way associated with the refusal to take a fight everyone wants it, except you, your camp and your devoted fans. The best fight at SMW is Bute vs Ward. Period.

 

Suddenly Ward doesn't wants to unify the division anymore and transforms itself into a cherry picker. It was a mistake for ring magazine to make this guy as an undisputed champion.
Seriously this is not how you win fans Ward!
