R.I.P Michael Murray

    Manchester's ex heavyweight fighter Michael Murray passed away on Christmas day from a brain tumour. Such sad news for anyone that new him, he was a gentle giant and a kind hearted man.Michael fought some great fighters in the past, knocking out kevin mcbride. I'm sure everyone in the boxing world would like to send their deepest sympathy to mikes family at this very sad time. R.I.P CHAMP!!!!!!!!!!!

    Though Christmas Day is a load of bollocks, people buy into it so I'm sure it just makes the death even worse. Sad stuff.

    My abiding memory of him wasn't anything to do with boxing; my mate was doing some poetry performance at a club in Manc years ago and he came up to us and had a right good chat about how he loved my mate's stuff. Seemed a proper nice dude, at least the little I knew of him. RIP
