    The Dawson rematch won't happen in a hurry. The first fight didn't sell and a second would really bomb.

    :think not sure if this is trolling? bute is a notorious cherry-picking coward, who the above names have tried to get in a ring on several occasions is he not? why wouldnt he enter super 6 if he actually believed he was any good?

    no trolling :D , Bute's promoter made some offers to Ward,Froch and Kessler ; Bute said that he would go in Ward's hometown to fight with him and ward said that Bute must fight with an elite A fighter to deserve a fight with him ; with Froch , same , 2 fights ( canada and u.k ) ..... we wait to see if they will fight ........ Kessler declined his 3.5 mill. to fight in Canada ( maybe because of the judges and refs bias :) )

    Bute at that time was with the HBO , when he fought with Andrade ( rematch ) ; after his contract with HBO has expired, he signed a new contract with Showtime, but the s6 tournament started already.

    Not entirely true, but there has been some dispute over whether Bute was asked or whether he declined. Showtime have told both stories.

    Either way, I think it was just down to money. He could earn as much for fighting defences as appearing in the S6, so why take tougher fights.

    flashy ko is right but its unfortunate. Bute has spent a long time fighting the best available fighters to showcase his talents.

    johnson fought froch then bute
    bika fought calzaghe then bute
    miranda fought the big names then bute

    bute just needs a big name to prove himself.

    yes, he needs to fight with a big name ; i hope that Froch will accept Bute's offer and have their first fight in april 2012 and the rematch in august.
