Ward is the only logical pick. He beat Abraham and Froch convincingly, unified titles, scored the Ring belt, and won the Super Six tourney. With those couple wins he became the legit #1 guy in his division which no one else in the sport of boxing was able to accomplish in 2011. 2012 will be a good one for Ward too.
Usually... if you lost your title on the scale during that calendar year... yer prolly out of the running. :deal
It should be viloria. Two championship fights as prohibitive underdog. The threads in esb were asking what round segura would knock him out. Ward was favorite to win in the super 3, against shitty division.
You respect him yet say stuff like "has the guts" to fight someone who's biggest win is Edison Miranda. Get a clue, dumbass.
You either believe that the S3 is a great tournament where nobody is even top 30 fighter except probably ward. It is an overrated tournament. In fact the darchinyan - mares- agbeko tournament has more credibility than that. Having a 42 years old Johnson as a top contender says a lot. Viloria fought Miranda as underdog and segura, who was unjustly or justly ranked pfp number 9 as underdog, all as championship fights. Ward fought froch.
I think it being s6 conclusion adds a lot for ward, if it was just abraham and froch without s6 behind it then maybe it would be donaire or viloria.
To me, Donaire has the Victory of the Year. He sparked out a deadly threat and fellow P4Per in 2 rounds. Not to mention KOchulito is shot now, thanks to Noni. You definitely get points for ruining a career. :yep
