You're comparing apples and oranges. Pacquiao donated to build a hospital, and I hope he made certain the money was spent on that.

This donation by Marquez and the WBO was to a small province in Mexico to help with expenses in helping kids to stay off drugs.
They're not building a hospital here for them to donate the million you talk about.

You have me confused with someone who said anything negative about JMM's donation. Good for him. I hope the cartels don't go after him.

You brought Pacquaio and his million donation onto this thread.
Why did you do that if not to parrallel it with Marquez donation of $5000 to a totally different level and cause???

.....and btw, props to Pacquiao for helping out where its needed.
Building a hospital for the poor is a magnificent cause that Pacquiao contributed to. I'm glad some of his money is helping out those in need.

That would be a slap in the face of the Mexican drug cartel. Even JMM cannot counterpunch the bullets from their automatic weapons.

Technically I stand corrected caneman. But you know what I meant when I said "do you think Pacqiuao would donate 100's of thousands to a small province."
If you were reading this thread you knew I meant to the type of cause and orginization Marquez was being criticized here for the ammount he donated.

Pac would be dumb to hand over 100's of thousands to the same type cause Marquez did here. Countries like Mexico and I imagine the Phillipines is well known to recieve money intended to help the people, but then stay in the hands of those that should be distributing that money.

.....thats why when someone like Marquez makes a donation intended to help kids, he must spread that money around to different orginizations in the hopes that some of those that recieve the money will actually spend it on the kids.

Did you guys expect JMM do give half of his life's worth in a donation? Being there and endorsing the program is good enough a donation.

I've worked as volunteer in some organizations and I know that having a celebrity as an endorser will get you more donations.

    And besides
JMM : $5,000/$10,000,000 (Net worth, give or take a few mil) = 0.05%
    Random Internet Guy: $0/$200,000 = 0.00%

That's still 0.05% more he donated than most of us here...

    Peace out!

How about it's his money and he can give however much he wants to whomever he wants without being judged by lizard-faced lowlifes such as yourself. How much have you donated to the cause ****head?

    116-112 Marquez

I have more of a problem with the WBO not giving more then Marquez but

5 grand to him is a small sum. And i would think he's earned at 15 to 20

million instead of 10, given his cut of the ppv money
