And? At least I'm trying to go out there and get better. Plus, in that video, I made it pretty well-known I was ****ing around.

You guys are ridiculous...if OP really loved boxing so much, he wouldn't consider quitting. All I'm saying is that if I were a coach, I would not want a kid who would contemplate quitting.

Why? I'm sure NO coach wants someone who will contemplate quitting. It's really a waste of the trainer's time, and it's not fair to him/her.

Its a waste of their time because they think about quitting? A lot of boxers lose motivation part of the way into their training, happened to me and I'm sure its happened to others.

Also, I if I was him. I'd find another gym or at least buy some of his own headgear because what the heck kind of gym spars without headgear. So of course he has thought about quitting, it doesn't matter how tough you are that is a bad idea.

It doesn't matter who the coach is, if he stands by and allows people to get injured in his gym because he's not enforcing the use of safety equipment the guys a ****ing moron and shouldn't be allowed to coach boxers. It's about training to be your best, not train to be a tough guy and see how much damage you can take every time you spar.

I don't think the OP really want's to quit boxing, more he doesn't like his current situation with this ****ing ******ed gym he's at now.

You asked this on Sherdog and you got good answers. Go to a new gym, or quit.
You said you had it with Boxing.

I'd pay good money to see Ylem vs Murdr in their debut sparring sessions... Imagine that..
Ylem has the looking at the ground slapsy hunchback pointless movement style versus Murdr's fat slug stationary southpaw posing push punch style.... Intriguing clash

Those injuries are not to be sustained consistently in sparring. Like everyone says; get a new gym, or maybe ask for them to institute headgear and lay off a bit (probably won't go over well if it's the wrong kind of atmosphere), or quit if you had to. A perforated eardrum is no laughing matter.

What does it matter? Because they're boxing with no headgear you ****ing idiot.

You don't know ANYTHING until you've been hit in the face, and I'd love to see your sorry ass after getting pummeled by a guy with no protection. "Oh wahhh I've seen my brother fight I know a lot" - No, you dont. It's one thing to get hit, it's a another to talk out of your ass and pretend you know what youre talking about based on WATCHING others get hit.
