Hopkins Calzaghe

Calzaghe won the fight hands down!! Workrate wins everytime!! He outpunched him, outworked him, B-hop didnt do enough. This is a B-HOP fan talking here!! He used some old pro tricks to buy some time, aswell as a couple ***** moves, the low blow thing was a lil ***gy, but I still like him. I had 52 ams fights and its right hard in there, I cant imagine how it must be at top level and well into your forties!

 

Basically, Hopkins had NO ANSWER other than to slow down that pace and hope to scrape a win.

 

That shows an extreme amount of hate for Hopkins. Hopkins clearly won the round late where he got to take time off for the slap to the nuts.

Calzaghe literally landed little to nothing. Slapping air, isn't effective aggression even on a gassed oponnent.

Maybe you should actually watch the fight. Try it without the sound on.

 

Calzaghe won, had Hopkins had a better output and didn't pull the ***** moves then he would have won

Proves Calzaghe did not land as many shots as people believe.

 

Both men struggled to land, but JC still landed more. Him slappning air all night is a myth built up by sour fans. Hopkins relied on that counter right too much. Once JC had adjusted he was unable to land it, and from that point on all Hopkins could do was to clinch. You could see already in Hopkins next fight he had fixed that flaw and fought more aggressive.

Hopkins still a great fighter and above JC in resume, though.

 

This is an excuse from black boxing fans, hinting that Hopkins got robbed due to some kind of white concpiracy. It is disgraceful and should be left out.

Their fight made my eyes bleed. It was ugly, sloppy, and messy. That said, I thought Hopkins took the fight by a point or three (6-6 or 7-5). Calzaghe came forward a lot and threw punches in volume, but didn't land more of the cleaner blows.

No, he simply threw more punches. Hopkins outland slappy Joe with clean, effective shots throughout. There is a slow motion video somewhere showing Calzaghe throwing eight or more shots at Hopkins who dodged them all before hitting Joe clean. In real time it looked like Cokey joe was doing something effective but in actual reality he was firing blanks.

Not throughout. Hopkins landed jack ass in the later half.

I think I know what gif you are refearing to. Hopkins tries to set up a counter, but gets too busy to keep himself out of the way from Joes slaps. When the counter finally fires off it lands poorly. Sums the fight up pretty well, I think.
