    Froch's recent opposition:

    Ward
    Johnson
    Abraham
    Kessler
    Dirrell
    Taylor
    Pascal

    Bute's recent opposition:

    Johnson
    Mendy
    Magee
    Brinkley
    Miranda
    Andrade
    Zuniga

    Yeah, same quality. Pffff :rofl

...like that Dog, Ton Dirrell. :D

On a more serious note though, Showtime's replacement for Hershman said he'd put pressure on the Ward camp for this 'natural fight' to happen. Big bucks. Otherwise, prolly looking at Bute-Froch & Ward-Ton Dirrell (WBC mando).

The only two fights that could have ranked Froch higher than Bute in terms of opposition were lost by Carl, namely the

Let's put the problem in a different way: Who has Froch beaten (clear) so far that would have given Bute problems?

As I said, Bute outmaneuvered S6 semifinalist Johnson with ease winning almost every round. The truth is S6 pretty much ****ed things up at 168 lbs. It lasted way too long and wasn't fair to begin with.

I think he does deserve a shot. Who else will Ward fight that is more deserving?

They are bigger chance to see Ward-Kessler next Fall as Ward mentionned in many interview.
And seems that Ward thinks that Anthony Dirrell deserves more than Buté for spring ( don't know why)
Maybe Buté-Ward, as Pavlik-Abraham, May-Pac,is an another big fight that we will never see.
I hope that Showtime will make some pressure on Ward-Goosen.

It's the new reason to not fight Buté: after lowball, others fighters will say: Bute, with his belt, is not at my level.

If Ward wants a vacation, that is fine, but obviously Lucian is the hardest and best fight for him at smw. There is no more deserving fighter. So unless, he rematch's kessler, nobody else for him to fight, unless he is just cleary ducking.

Right not it looks like this.

If Ward wants to let the fight with Bute build up some more thats one thing. If you agree with that idea or not atleast you see where he is coming from. But to say Bute needs to beat a top guy or two first puts Ward in a tight spot. He either has to sit and wait until summer or later to fight Bute after Bute takes another fight or two and that would be a waste of the momentum Ward has built.

Or, he has to face someone more proven than Bute and thats going to be hard to do unless he rematches Froch right away or faces someone at 175. Kessler has a fight lined up in the spring so he won't be next, Pavlik's career is up in the air, I don't know if Andre Dirrell would face Ward and he's not more proven than Bute, etc. So Ward will either sit and wait for Bute or he has to(most likely) fight someone less deserving than Bute which makes his remarks look silly.

Bute achieved to be the best body puncher in the world today

He achieved to have the best uppercut in the game today

At the end of his carreer he will be known as one of the best body puncher in history because we have to be clear here...

look at his hightlights....look how many times he Ko an opponant with a single shot to the body....maybe 10 to 15 so far.

I have never seen somoane to hurt so many fighters with one single shot.

I vave seen many good body puncher who finished their opponant with an accumulation of body shots

    Lucian is somethig else really.

Ask Magee-Andrade and even Glenn Johnson....it's like a surgery.

After the first round...Johnson did want to throw his right because of a body shot at the end of the first round.

Froch will be the next to understand what is a real body puncher.

:scaredas:He is a totallly different animal than other fighters in the world today

    Exellent post and spot on!

Ward should have say that he want aan easier fight for he's next fight and see after . the statement about Bute made him look stupid because he will eventually face somebody less diserving then Bute.

I want to see Ward-Bute next but if Ward wants to push the fight down the road a bit than its not the end of the world. But don't say Bute needs to beat a top opponent first and then turn around a face someone who is less proven than Bute. It just makes Ward's comments look a combination of dumb and bad.

Unless Ward has something up his sleeve like a Dawson/Hopkins fight just come out and say he wants an easier fight next, or he wants to deal with his mandatory, etc. Don't say Bute isn't deserving and then face someone even less deserving than Bute. We still don't know Ward's next move and maybe he will face someone more deserving than Bute but I can't help but think he's knocking Bute's competition level and is going to turn around and face someone who has done less than Bute has.

Its because Bute did not take his cross as:

He who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. - SOG

    ;0))

The truth is the upper echelon of the smw division is
pretty much cleaned out. There is no else but Bute. He should
be up against Ward by default, unless Ward is just gonna wait it
out and let Bute take another fight before he makes a decision.
