    5"8-5"9 I get from 174-176cm so yea.

I float at 165 right now but, I could trim and make 147.

Not very speedy, great accuracy and good timing though.

It helps that I hit like a mule to the body, and can take a shot too.

Not going to lie though, I definitely am slower, and can get peppered with shots if you're a slick in and out kind of boxer. i'm also a slow starter which can and has cost me some important rounds.

Can't be perfect in every area though, otherwise you'd be seeing me on t.v and not posting on here ;)

Question: Keep in mind that I'm no younger what most people call young at 39. In recent years when I have been in my best shape I'm in the 155-160 range. Right now I'm in the 165-170 range. I'm about 6'0". My question is assuming I weigh 155 and fell strong. Should I atempt to lose the 1 Lb, and fight at light middleweight, or fight at middleweight giving up the 5 Lbs to my oppoent?

**** yes lose the pound, unless you weigh in right outside the ring before the fight.

I could probably get down to welter, done it a few years ago like rapidly, and I didn't feel as strong, it made me weak. JMW or MW would better suit my frame. I know SMW would be too much as I'm only 5-10.

I'm 5'7" and weigh 130. I could easily get down to 126 and maybe even 122.

My waist, even in that pic to the left, was under 26 inches. If you look at me now at near 138 I don't look any more muscular, just fatter in the waist because I'm older.

How long did it take you to learn how to jump rope like that? I started about 2 months ago, but have never tried all those tricks. :huh

I think if you push yourself hard, and practice EVERY day or 5 times a week, eight months should see you at a very high comfort level to try to perfect all the tricks. There are two types of jump ropers, though: those who do the rope since they are kids (floyd and maybe Duran) and guys who just spend a lot of time on it later who will never look as smooth and "natural" as the lifetime ones.

A year of constant practice and getting a comfort with the speed should have you looking pretty impressive, but there are some things like raw raw speed and coordination that are natural attributes of great jump ropers (I don't consider myself a very coordinated one - just a fast, hard working one) It has been a staple of my workout for years, but I think after a year or so it kind of plateaued in terms of what I could do with it.
