Tyson and Ali. Anyone able to make a convincing argument for Mike?

    Ali never beat anyone that I rate H2H higher than Mike. That would give me some hope. I think Tyson would beat post-exile Ali, and maybe go 1-2 against a prime Ali?

    Big respect for both guys, however as always i find it hard to bet against Ali. He always had a way of getting past his opponents in one way or another. I actually think Ali by late stoppage, in a less than competitive fight.

    I love Tyson but Ali is all wrong for him. Just all wrong.

    Ali was amazing but he also never seemed to adjust to great left hooks, and Tyson had an awesome one.

    Nope, only way Tyson "WINS" is if he lands a lucky shot that puts out ALI cold.
    Ali would dance circles around Tyson.

    The H2H part is interesting, I'm not sure Tyson beats Foreman, but do belive he'd run through Frazier.

    Winning isn't out of the question for Tyson, it's just the more I watch Ali right now, the more I favour him, as long as he has his legs.

    An aged Ali who had lost the ability to move for 3 minutes, would have alot of trouble.

    Yes, if Frazier could win. .. so can Mike. Mike was physically gifted enough and had the power to get the job done. Tyson was a different animal in his prime, full of confidence and youth. Mike could have won. There

    The key there is mentality. Ali pushed Frazier, and Frazier planted his feet and pushed back.

    Mike thrived off of being dominant, once his aura was gone he wasn't the same fighter IMO. Ali would control the mind games, and I don't think Mike could handle that, atleast not positively like Frazier did.

    You arent gonna beat Mike by talking or playing mind games. The guys who beat him outboxed him, took his best shot and backed him off. Ali and Tyson's style would gel well together, and I tend to think Tyson would give Ali some problems with his speed, elusive / aggressive style, and punching power.

    Well Ali admitted guys who could get low and crouch and take good punishment were the ones who gave him the most trouble. A retired Marciano left so much of an impression on Ali when he boxed that fake fight exhibition in 1969, Ali claimed Marciano was better than Frazier, and admitted Marciano could've outpointed him and knocked him down. Ali never liked that swarming style, Frazier gave him problems too. Tyson at his best was like the ultimate of those two guys and styles. A prime Tyson would have a good shot to beat Ali imo.

    Depends on the circumstance, I saw him challenged in the Genaro fight, where he fought through with the hand injury, or the JLC fight with the sholder injury.

    Say he fights Pac, and ends up getting stopped, dropping to a knee under fire, or asking the corner to stop the fight then yeah.

    If he got caught clean ala Tarver KO'ing Jones, no that can happen to anyone.

    I don't think he will fall apart.
