Thompson certainly seen his peak in 2008. I doubt he has any better chance in 2012 than he had 4 years prior. This should be an easy night for Wlad.

I think he wants to every year but since 2008 the years after he kept getting stuck in the whole Haye diva nonsense.
And now of course the injury.

I think Vitali is playing it smarter and taking fights while Haye grows his testicles back.

That's a fight nobody except Thompson is waiting for. Wlad should give up his IBF belt.

I really hope so. If he has no injuries, he should be fighting as often as possible, at least 3-4 times a year, and rack up the title defenses.

So we have another papaer champion like Povetkin? No thanks. Plus Wlad always fights his mandatories.

Belts don't mean **** anyway. It would be better if he fought fights that people actually wanna see instead of pointless mandatories.

Still, if thompson won the title eliminator he deserves a shot, even if nobody is interested in it.
Wlad should do a tour at this point, just fight all over the world.
With the right promotion it can definitely work, he should have fought mormeck in paris.

IBFs a mess.. there would have been more than enough time reschedule Thompson-Chambers + even a rematch until July 15

Wlad gets a lot of **** from some people because he's not "undisputed", so belts do mean something.

Thompson is a solid heavyweight but I have no interest in a rematch. With Chambers able to fight in January and the mandatory due in July then there was plenty of time for Chambers-Thompson to have happened and if Chambers simply pulled out of the fight(I think he did) than there should have been a replacement opponent for Thompson.

It would have been nice if Wlad didn't reschedule the Mormeck bout and instead faced Thompson in March. Instead of getting one fight nobody wants we now get to see two fights for Wlad in 2012 that have no appeal.

If Thomspon was actually strong, he would have won. He outlanded Wladimir.

Thompson is not a big attraction but I think he easlily beats Povetkin or Helenius.
