It seems everyone is speaking very highly about Mayweather when comparing style, status, and ability. Trainers studying Floyd, Ward studying floyd, Broner studying floyd, and many others. boxers, analysts stating this and that fighter will not be ready for Floyd and etc. Even pac is being thrown in there as not ready for Floyd. So why are there still people still think Floyd is a fraud? who is right?

Thinking he's a fraud at this point is the same as thinking Manny's a fraud. It makes no sense and shows you're a douche bag.

Because actual fighters can see the skills. A pro boxer is going to be more fascinated by what happens once they're in the ring, not masturbate to another man's resume and legacy like keyboard warriors do. You have to really be able to know what you're watching to see Floyd's skills. Easiest fights to see his skills are the Zab and Oscar ones.

That's why Floyd is "that nigg@" to young ams at boxing gyms wheres other fighters aren't as recognized.

:thumbsup that's how I interpreted it. When I started boxing and sparring more, I appreciated his skills more

obviously he's got great skill with what he does...

my only problem is we dont get to see what else he can do... he mostly sticks to 1 trick, and he does it very well, as long as he's faster than his opponent. Only when he feels he's got his opponent either tentative or on the defensive, will he start getting aggressive. Being a minimalist isn't going to garnish loads of fan attention, but will garnish attention from other boxers to somewhat integrate an element of that into their boxing skills for diversity and damage mitigation...

Its like watching a Klitschko fight in principle... in their case - keeping straight punches from long distance, fighter closes up - either shove back or clinch. Rewash... and why go away from it if it mitigates your opponent's offense and maintains your advantage - successful but boring to watch

For sure, not just Floyd either but fighters in general, the work it must take to reach even European level makes my calf's hurt thinking about it

I need to make me one of those Charley Burley style videos except the Mayweather version, ock. They clowned on Oscar's stance in the original Charley Burley video, so I'd just pick up from where they left and use the Mayweather-DLH fight

people see the undefeated record, these people failed to understand why he is undefeated. And that is Floyd have avoided all the good fighters of his time.

Floyd was proving he was the best up until about 2007. Since then he has had 2 meaningful fights, and the farce against Ortiz.

Floyd hasn't proven much in the last 4 years, and the people who rank him as P4P #1 are doing so based on guesswork and assumptions.

He might be the best P4P fighter in the world, he might not. I am not satisfied that he is, because he has not proven it in such a long time. 4 years is a long time in boxing.

If people want to rank him at #1, then they might even be right. But they might be wrong. As far as I am concerned, a fighter has to continually prove themselves.
