"Klitschko opponents don't try"

Haye and ibragimov didnt try 100% they tried their best to win while not getting ktfo.
A lot of them really try though but they get outmatched and punished.

 

They intimidate opponents, their opponents also aren't skilled in applying pressure and can't slip jabs while moving into range to apply pressure. No way you can box a Klit at range and that's what every opponent tries to do, bar Lewis, Byrd and Brewster who all had allot of success incidently. Arreola at least tried to apply pressure but got picked apart. Solis tried and used a good gameplan but his knee blew out. Peter tried but just had no defensive skills and was too fat

Haye and Ibragimov tried to beat them on the backfoot, not happening. Toney would have given them a good fight around 03-06 because he can take away jabs.

 

They said the same thing about Tyson's opponents..
If you think that you become a HW contender by "not trying", then you're clearly a casual fan..

I think they try at first and then get caught by a big shot and have no idea to get to their chins so they pack it in and survive

Wlad- great power demoralizes his foes, great foot work and jab keep them from offensive success

Vitali- great accumulation power and accuracy with a great two handed attack, unorthodox defense matched with height prevents offensive success

Haye and Ibragimov tried to lure Wlad to give up his height so they could take him down with one big shots

I remember Sultan bending down after Wlad jabbed so if Wlad would follow up he would go into a left, Wlad didnt wanna fall into the trap so he patiently jabbed to victory

Haye just kinda moved around and tried to leap across the ring and hit Wlad with a right, Haye would throw from too far away and had no chance. I think Haye underestimated Wlad's speed and foot work because Haye had a really hard time getting his punches going

the best effort vs a Klitschko would probably be Brock vs Wlad and Arreola vs Vitali

Arreola, fearlessly walked through Vitali's shots and landed plenty of his own, seemed to bother Vitali at times and pushed the old man

Brock, he made it kinda ugly and he got inside and up close and went after the body


I really do feel Wlad's foes underestimate his chin, speed and footwork because they dont seem to have game plans and always seem puzzled by Wlad's movement and jab

Kits opponents are extremely limited and therefore don't know what to do in the ring. They see plan a didn't work and give up. That's why this is a shitty era. The skill level on show in some of the heavyweight contests is a joke.

The Klitschkos are all about using their size advantage. Everything that they do in a fight is about size, size and size. There is a void of talent in the HW division right now and the contenders don't possess the talent and skills to solve the size problem even if they are willing to take the risks to do so (e.g., Arreola)

Then along comes David Haye, who arguably has some of the necessary skills, but, will not take the risks to close the size gap and one sees the result: A bigger man who is afraid to get hit wins a wide UD over a smaller man who is afriad to get hit.

no, don't say that, sure, there were clowns like Haye and Kevin Johnson who came in to try to last 12 rounds and get the paycheck, but there were also fighters like Gomez, and Adamek, who were hugely outmatched, but went down fighting, it's not the Bros' fault that they fight against mismatched opposition, that's the fault of those who are too scared to get into the ring with them and thier promoter, hopefully in 2012 this will finally change

The problem with fighting the Ks, is that the more you try against them, the worse the beating you take. Arreola and Peter's tried and as a result took terrible beatings, whereas Haye and Johnson sustained very little damage.
