    he doesnt rank up there with Pep,sweet pea,Toney ,or mayweather but corey spinks although sometimes precived boaring he was pretty masterful defensevly but never possed enough pop to be considered elite

    For all his gifts, I think his greatest was anticipation. Sometimes it's like he knew what his opponent was gonna do before they did.

    If the adjective in use is "slippery" than Willie Pep is the guy. This dose not nesscearly make him the best defensive boxer ever, he has to be considered though. It means that his style is the most slippery.

    Floyd Mayweather is a great defensive boxer, but I wouldn't describe him as slippery.

    Locche is up there at the top.

    Pep was different, as half of what he did was illegal. Somewhat like floyd, he'd do anything he could get away with.
