Thinking of good fights for Gamboa at 130. They have an opponent in common and they both beat him by KO( solis).
its a matter of gamboa traveling to japan of uchiyama making a trip to US, but it could be fun to watch.
always go with Gamboa but the japanese is not a walk in the park

Did he tell you that personally?

BTW even though Japanese fighters don't mind traveling, just ask Nishioka, he doesn't have to, Top Rank doesn't give a **** about Gamboa's career who trained in Japan before, so we might very well see the Cuban travelling.

    Awesome fight BTW.

Gamboa woudnt mind traveling to Japan if the money is right and since the best Arum can feed him for his next fight is Rocky Juarez i'm sure in Japan is a good option.
It makes more sense the fight in Japan because Uchiyama is well known there and they know Gamboa as well, also Japan is not notorious for protecting his fighters when going to the cards( like germany( felix storm)or atlantic city( Paul williams).
If Gamboa cant get Broner or any good fights i woudnt mind a fight in Japan.
Im not quiet sure how it works with money, taxes and all that stuff in japan

I think gamboa's speed would be too much uchiyama. Broner/gamboa would probably be more competitive.

Looks like I'm an average American fan.

    No shame.

I'll have a look at this guy.

Broner needs to fight a world class fighter before we even talk about him faring against the best SFW.

Idk about Broner he has improved significantly since the PDL fight as has Gamboa. Gamboa has unmatched athleticism only perhaps Broner and Russell Jr can match, but Uchiyama has very sneeky punching power and a well schooled fighter. If Yuriorkis is not careful he can very much get his first loss. If Gamboa can outbox him and set him up for some bombs Gamboa wins. It wont be easy Gamboa will have to bring his A game Uchiyamas no joke! Gamboa MD 12. Uchiyama will want to make a statement with Gamboa and has power to hurt him, but I think if Gamboa remains focused he can win. Also comes down to who can take each others bombs better.
