Wlad would win a wide UD. Holy could pressure Wlad, but doesn't have the type of power to really get him outta there, so Evender would win a few rounds while Wlad would be forced into defense, but the early rounds, 1-5 would be dominating rounds for Wlad with his jab, hook and cross/straight. Possibly even a few KD's. Holy could win a few middle rounds by maintaining pressure, but would likely tire like he did vs Foreman and find himself outboxed and dropped again leter in the fight. I agree with Mordechai that Evander would have better luck with Vitali by bullying his way on the inside past the weaker jab of Vitali.:deal
It favors Holyfield because he could box he was a very good boxer he just started to brawl with his opponent as soon as he got hit . He wouldn´t be afraid to get hit to land something against Wlad and even if he gets hit 2 times each time he lands a shot he could win because of his heart and chin
Holyfield would get inside that jab and once the fight is on the inside, Wlad would be at a serious disadvantage. His strengths (reach, leverage, height) will become a disadvantage as Holyfield smothers Wlad and stays on his chest. If Wlad can't hurt Holyfied (which i think will be the case), Wlad has no chance. Holyfield isn't just going to stand in a straight line and fall for the 1-2 by Wlad.
After reading this thread, i can see that everyone on ESB votes Holyfield to win and the remaining Wlad fans think he will win. Go figure.
Hmm just reading through the thread. So far Holy wins because he can take 2 of Wlads punches for each one he lands of his own and win that way or he will just tear Wlad up on the inside like all the other fighters have so far.
Yes, and I wish I had a dollar for every time I've seen comments like "old (insert past champion's name here) would get by Wladimir's jab easy and KO him in (insert ridiculously few rounds here) no trouble!" on every Klitschko thread.
Any version of Holyfield would get a beating against Wladimir. If it was Vitali, Holyfield would of been retired in 1992.
also where they conclude that (insert retired champ) wins in 2 or less rounds against a Bro, even though, in their prime, they went the distance against (insert retired mediocre contender here). Most haters still need to find their own style. They all seem so robotic and boring.
I'm going to take Wlad as I see him doing what he does best: keep Holyfield on the outside with his jab and powerful right, smother him if he does get inside.
