Does Amir Khan Have The Ugliest Style of Boxing?

    I was watching the peterson fight again yesterday and all i gotta is this dude khans style of fighting is ugly as hell. yeah hes fast but his volume punches look weak as hell they didnt do **** to peterson they were just saving time. then the way he runs an back peddles is ugly too. he just looks un coordinated to me.

    he doesnt move with any rhythm or swag when he ties to outbox people or throws combinations hes always stiff while guys like direll, pirog, and mayweather look smooth when they outbox someone or when u see guys like gary russell, linares, and pacquiao throw fast combinations it flows like water. anyways, i really dont know how to discribe khans style but its just plain ugly IMO.

    what u think?

    Is this based on one fight. Khan has had a very entertaining career so far. Khan vs Maidana= fight of the year 2010. Khan does pack a bit of power, his KO ratio is not too shabby at all.

    I think his style is exciting, for the most part. Either whoop ass or get whooped. What's not to like.

    I would say he's far from the most ugly stylistically.The only thing I can't understand is how he often finds both feet in front of him when he unloads.I used to think it was a unique ability,but now I know it's a schoolboy error.He does have good attributes though,no one's saying he's a P4P'r.

    I agree, his style seems very sloppy and disorganized, doesn't have any fluidity in it.

    Khan does have quite amateurish stylistic flaws but the excitement his fights bring outweighs that imo. The Maidana and Peterson bouts are both FOTY candidates

    Khan is canned combo, push to create ideal space, rinse and repeat. Very robotic and point system based. Not ugly, but not a style that will make him a great.
