Does UFC need standing 8 counts?

    No the other guys are right, what happens with multiple knockdowns? Frankie Edgar vs Gray Maynward II or III would have been scored like 10-4 to Maynard :lol: Would have been impossible for Edgar to win/draw

    You knock your opponent down and aren;t allowed to follow up with GNP or a submission attempt? That's a good way to ruin the sport.

    When following your opponent to the ground, you aren't always 100% safe, and it can possibly allow your opponent an opening to finish, despite being hurt. Just watch Diego Brandao's last fight.

    no,I wouldnt feel that the guy won the fight at all if he came back and beat the other guy,he has to do that on his own like watch Frankie Edgar vs Gray Maynard 3 you really feel like Edgar won and its better than if they stopped when Maynard was about to finish him in about 3 times,if a guy cant comeback by his own then he doest deserve to win,its not a knock on boxing,but it wouldnt work in mma.
