 nice thread. I pick Floyd's check left hook. Its more compact, more devastating, and harder to avoid. Easier to execute and is hardly out of balance when he launches it. Floyd is always most dangerous when your backing him up. Manny too, but that's when he goes berserker. Like I've always said Manny is at his best when he counters he fights more agressive like a cornered animal.

I'd give it to Floyd as, despite him saying it, he did sort of set a blue print on how to get to Hatton (not that he's ever been that hard to hit).

I remember Roach saying one of Hatton's biggest weaknesses is that he clearly cocks his left hand every time he is about to throw and this means his telegraphed hook can easily be countered with a quicker or shorter punch.

They're both pretty sweet to watch. I'll probably pick Floyd's by virtue of the ring post

The 2nd vid is irritating as hell though.

floyd had attempted and landed that check hook several times that night- after he got caught in round one with rickys left hook- he set himself up for it all night- spacing himself perfectly to lure ricky in. he tags ricky quite nicely at least 2wice before that- but ricky didnt adjust- and kept trying to re-land the shot. Mannys was nice too- both fighters knew the hook was coming before the fight- and prepared for it well. i d have to say floyds was nicer, cleaner- but that mannys was probably more difficult- to roll into the punching side, and duck under the punch, whereas floyd pivots away from the shot.

both are sweet punches- not much point comparing two beautiful shots. its like comparing scarlett johannson s left tit to her right tit- their both beautiful. and if your ricky, or banging scarlett- you get to have both.

pacman feet was planted and they worked on that right hook for the hatton fight. floyd was movin back and turning when he through the check left. i think pacman punch was the harder punch. floyd broke hatton down and then stopped him, pacman just stoped him.
