The Holy fights also showed that if you could take Tyson's shots and keep throwing your own bombs, Mike will go. As I wrote, old Foreman did better vs Holy than did prime Mike.

Prime George KOs Mike, could be early to mid Rds.
Only hope Mike had would be if Mike stayed away and George tired in later Rds. But prime George knew how to close the distance which is what forced ALi to try the ropeadope.

Tyson KO5 Foreman

 

Tyson has never gotten up off the canvas. Never. Not against Douglas,Lewis,Williams.
Foreman would manhandle Mike and TKO him.

 

Sure. How many time was Foreman stopped? Oh yeah. once. Tyson Ko'd 5 times.Tyson never came back from a knockdown.

 

Granite Jaw? Interesting for a guy with 5 losses by KO.
He seemed like he had a granite jaw because he rarely got hit. His chin was average.

 

Foreman would murder Mike, I would give Mike 2 or 3 rounds at most before he fell never to get up.

 

Tyson would knock Foreman the **** out

 

He was totally cooked when he fought Lewis and Williams those fights can't really be used a gauge for anything. He took plenty of bombs from Lewis anyway...

Tyson had a very good chin and certainly better than 'average' as you describe it.

 

Young Foreman was raw as hell. Young Tyson was complete as far as Tyson was concerned. Old Foreman was helluva lot smarter. It's an interesting balance. Young Foreman was a freaking bear of a man though. I'd have to think on this.

 

Yeah I have to agree. In December 1989, Tyson destroys every man on the planet in history. In February 1990, he loses to Buster Douglas.

Tough matchup to predict. Foreman dealt with swarmers quite well, but Tyson wasn't your typical swarmer. Foreman was there to be hit, but if Foreman landed a few good shots, how would Tyson respond? It's a pick em fight, but I would lean slightly towards Tyson.

 

I think Tyson's strengths hit Foreman's weaknesses pretty hard. Close call.

 

Tyson had a better chin and more power and speed in his prime. Also prime Tyson was hard to hit.

 

Foreman would be his daddy.
