With Chisora soon to be facing Vitali I wanted to get an idea of who on his level put up the best performance against either brother, basically I want to gauge where about's Chisora can aim to better over his Country men. They'll be no point adding Lewis to the list due to him running away with the vote. So I'll start the list with Herbie Hide the first English man to face K2.

WBO king Herbert Hide was the big betting favourite going into this fight, I think Vitali was 4/1 with the bookies. Herbert started in superb fashion winning the first round with relative ease. Despite starting the second round well Herbert was unlucky and was caught with a slick temple shot and couldn't recover, an unlucky defeat for Hide.

Legend destroyer Danny Williams was just fresh from crushing "Iron" Mike Tyson in brutal fashion and would famously also go on to beat former World champion Audley Harrison in a similar fashion so he clearly must have fancied his chances here of pulling of the upset. Danny Would go on to lose this fight in a brutal beat down getting knocked down 4 times before being stopped in the 8th and although Williams didn't technically win a round he certainly proved his heart and won over the public.

The Dragon Albert Sosnowski fresh after claiming the European title after his victory over Paolo Vidoz ( should have won the title in his previous fight against Pianeta but was robbed by Sauerland and only got the draw) was seen as the rightful man to stop comeback Vitali, he was the toast of Essex, Britain had a new hero. The fight it self saw Albert push Vitali to the limits taking him to hell and back before he was bravely knocked out in the 10th round. This was comeback Vitali's toughest fight. Although Albert went home to Essex as no World champion he was never the less the new King of the East end.

David Haye vs Wladimir. WBA regular king David "Hayemaker" Haye was seen by many to not only stop Wlad the Terrible's reign of terror but in fact stop both Klitschko's, he captured the british public's imagination everything was set for the new king to be crowned. Disaster! Haye after Robert helenius stepped on his toe during sparring broke his toe only weeks before the fight. Would the fight be cancelled? No! of course not, Haye the Brave heroically chose to fight on against the odds and was somewhat unlucky to then lose every round in a one sided victory for the younger Klitschko. The legend of Haye The Brave was born though.

Roll on British Chisora's fight with Vitali, let's hope he can add his name in glory just as his compatriots had done before him.

Classic! Good read, I truly enjoyed.

I think Haye did the best. He fought like a true warrior and champion. He gave it his absolute all in the ring that night but unfortunately was slightly bested. I think if given a rematch he floors Wlad in 30 seconds. Haye is better than Jesus, Allah and Buddha all wrapped into one...

I voted for Hide since he's the last Brit outside of Lewis to win a clear round vs. either brother. He's also the best highlight reel KO of a Brit by either brother....................:yep
