I don't need to try and rationalize why Marg why with less than a minute... He didbt want Cotto to take the control of going out on his terms. By quitting, Mayorga took the chance of a true KO away from Cotto by following up on a hurt Ricardo.

And all reports come from ringside during a boxing match......they come from "ringside reporters". They "report" what they hear and Mayorga had an excuse that no one really believed.

It wasn't a great win... But it was a good one. I think it was a tough fight against a very dangerous and unorthodox boxer like Mayorga. DLH lost most of his most significant fights yet he never list convincingly outside of the Pac loss... But that doesn't meant that he was dangerous or a threat towards the later part of his career.

 

Cotto has a much better skill set than Angulo but he wont be able to handle Kirklands super human power! I could see James getting knocked down once or maybe even twice but he gets up.. He always does. Once James penetrates Cotto's defense... ITS OVER!
