I Underate Rocky Marciano!

Rocky Marciano beat better fighters than Tyson, The Tubbs, Tuckers, Tills were a level below the Walcotts, Charles, and Archie Moores imo. Also the Rock went unbeating. So the Rock should get the edge there.

As for Fraizer, Only the Ali win is over the Rock's wins over said foes. I belive Quarry, Ellis, Foster ete are again a level below the Rock's best foes. Fraizer also beat 1 former world heavyweight champ, Were The Rock has 3(Louis, Walcott and Charles) Again Fraizer failed to get the better of Ali in the rematch and the 3rd fight.

I think the Rock is a strong top 5 ATG heavyweight.

 

The more I think about Marciano, the more I want to make him my #1 ATG heavyweight.

 

You can also make a case for having him at the 1st place (IMO only Ali, Jeffries, Marciano or Louis could be at the 1st place)...

 

You really can't ask more of a guy who KO'd every guy he ever fought in title fights (and he is among the leaders in # of successful lineal defences). As Janitor said earlier, all of them were #1/#2 contenders, and he cleaned out the division quite thoroughly before he retired.

 

Exactly, he totally dominated his era. IMO it´s just stupid when some haters say that this era was bad, when you have a bit knowledge and study the tapes we got from that era, you know the opposite. I have Marciano at 3rd at the moment, but like I wrote, you can place him also at 1st place without a doubt and it wouldn´t be ridiculous or so.

Did they fight in the same time? In 50 years, Tyson is seem a a very small HW too, and don´t forget that Marciano wasn´t natural at this weight, he trained down to make that weight...

 

I am undecided to as whether Rocky is even top 30, at heavyweight.

You can place both Calzaghe and Roy Jones higher than Marciano at HW. They both do a number on him.

 

Pure speculation. Facts are what count. And both would be brutally KO´d by Marciano, let´s be real. And stop it with your wet dreams about Calzaghe, I´m starting to worry about you...

Everything changes, also our lovely boxing sport. Marciano fought in the 50s, it´s not fair to compare him 1 to 1 with today fighters. But you can´t take away his legacy, his strengths, and his immense trainings sessions...
