Well done Colin for posting in someone else's thread. It would be a brilliant fight, It's a very close match up due to Choi's strength and awkwardness giving Selby problems he's not had before as a pro. They have sparred each other i believe according to a poster on here, heard it was a war.
I think Sleby would deal with him fairly comfortably. I think that Choi as much of a warriro that he is would struggle and run out of ideas and would be easy to hit against a guy that we now must assume has legit power at the weight. Selby late TKO stopping Choi on his feet
Selby made a new fan in me in his last few fights. Really like his style. I think at this stage he'd have too much for Choi over the longer distances.
Selby is one to watch and one or two more domestic fights then straight onto European, Commonwealth and the world. Selbys shown some serious power but I fear it will stunt his technical development. Hopefully not.
Nice match-up and one I'd like to see. I believe Selby wins and he has the potential to go all the way.
Lee is a good fightet and his fight with john was tight before john made a terrible mistake with his feet which allowed that body shot to land otherwise our gameplan was going to plan but good luck to him
I was supporting Selby in that fight, but lets not pretend it was a shut out. Simpson was very competitive, and if the plan was to take Selby late we all thought that was gonna happen til that punch landed.
Not a shut out Grant, I gave Simpson a round. But he never looked effective. To 'take someone late' you have to put them under enough pressure that they're forced to succumb late, only John never did that. He really didn't get much going, didn't find a rhythm, couldn't find a way to consistently pressure. It was an easy night for Selby really, even before the surprise stoppage.
