I love guys like Palhares, Mir, and Babalu. Josh Barnett talks so much **** about BJJ being the "gentle art" and catch wrestling being the "violent art" and then you have guys like Sobral, Mir, and Palhares who will rip your ****ing limbs off and choke you out.
Very capable. No question there. Kind of ironic that while he was over choking David Heath's throat he was actually cutting his own.
Oh. So Jones is too much of an *******, but you absolutely love the Diaz brothers for being great guys eh. Each to their own, I suppose, fair play. :conf
:deal Although pounding unconscious opponent is a disgrace, but you can explain it that fighter on top is usually going berserk and doesn't always realize what happens to his opponent when you sub you're 100% aware of that. Palhares is a great grappler but what he does is a shame:/ Those guys live form their bodies, athleticism and trying to permanently destroy them is just cruel Now about John Jones He's a great fighter but sticking fingers to opponents eyes and straight kicks to the knees (especially to Shogun- who is known for having some serious problems with his knees) is very low
I was enjoying the **** out of the UFC until I saw Goodridge pulverize Herrera's head into mincemeat. Have a look at the end of the vid to see the afterfight state of Herrera's facial injuries - WARNING - it's graphic. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oa54sXjToYo[/ame]
40% of his losses are to Henderson and Liddell. Another one is to Fedor! He is 1-1 with Sonnen. Wins over Prangley, Rua, Horn, Diabate, Sonnen, Sokoudjou and Lawler. 50% of wins by submission. His record doesn't do him justice and needs scrutiny. He should be in Strikeforce still at least.
That Goodgridge clip was brutal, I'm surprised that guy didn't die. That guy came across the ring with most telegraphed TD attempt ever....and paid dearly for it.
