How does our domestic boxing scene rank on a worldwide scale?

Pro Rata to our population i think it's ok.
Considering the sporting options that are on offer to kids in Australia these days and the different ways a young bloke with sporting ability can set himself up for life then i think boxing is doing allright.

When do you think boxing was healthier in Australia ??

    1970 with 378 shows
    1971 - 359
1988 was the most unhealthier with only 54 shows

From my seat it's ok aside from occassional poor refering and all Boxa promotions. Friday night fights have been exceptional, Grange has been exceptional and Green Machine has rolled out some excellent programs. Boxing is healthy.
