to be fair,if he aint stepping it up asap i will not bother with him, there is bringing people on slowly and bringing people on ****ing really ****ing slowly, and brook is the 2nd.
im sick of everyone thinking 'will he won't he',its about time he got shoved in with someone good,if he is as good as people say he is,put him in with cotto, cotto is on the slide imo,is still world class, but there for the taking:hey

just relised cotto is LM now,so,erm, maybe cotto could loose a few pounds

In terms of talent and skills he could beat pretty much all of them but its not about talent or skills as we can often see what they have to offer in their first 20 bouts. Its about the mindset and can they execute the right skills, strategy, handle adversity, a big crowd, big occassion etc

There are a ton of fast, strong, powerful, skilled fighters in the world but there aren't so many with the state of mind to be on the elite level.

Despite being 'world ranked' or whatnot the Pole wasn't all that.

I really like his style offensively, has some nice skills but i love way he steps into jab and is compact with his punches.

Defensively he's got a fair bit to work on IMO.

:deal That is my only worry with Brook, defensively he looks lazy, and stays in range too long at certain times.

Like you say offensively he is very good, his jab is his main asset i feel.

Agreed, his ranking reflects the lack of depth in the 147 division.

kell is the bollocks and hits like a ****ing mule, ask anybody who has sparred him and the first thing they say is how hard he hits, you can get him with a few shots here and there but thats how he likes to lure you in, he makes you think your in range to land then pulls out and nails you with very hard accurate counters, very awkward style to go up against:deal

Nor would I claim him to be. Alas, his fights against Rodriguez and Zaveck should not be slept on, nor should his outing against Bonsu, who features on this list. He is/was a formidable challenge for the majority of the best welters in the world, and Brook battered him pretty comprehensively.

I don't particularly rate Brook as anything special, I've just been left a bit bamboozled by how hard of a time he gets 'round here.

How many rounds have you sparred with him Curtis? How would you see him doing against a Berto or Ortiz?

I would love to see him fight the winner in that fight.

Kell would take that fight all day long.

What people forget about Kell is that he's like a racing snake.

I think a fight with either of them two could potentially be fights of the year, I think all three match up quite well.

I think it's to do with his opponents and people being fustrated by how slow his career was moving. His career is starting to build momentum and his fan base is growing, now is the time for Brook to show us what he's made of.

i was in the same gym as kell for a couple of years so ive sparred loads of rounds with him and seen him knock good fighters out cold in sparring, id like to see him have 1 or maybe 2 more 12 rounders under his belt before he went in with berto, i think ortiz would be ideal for kell hes wild and aggresive and i could see him walking onto all kinds of **** against kell, id fancy kell to stop him in a 8 round war, even though ortiz beat berto i think berto is a harder fight for kell and would wait 12 more months for that 1
