In most peoples eyes a prime Roy Jones is the best ever, then how come Calzaghe stopped him at 168?

    Eubank was greater.

    Greatest SMW of all time.

Andre Ward could surpass him, but he still has alot of work to do.

To this date, no fighter has achieved more in the division. Joe is the greatest SMW no doubt. I think he would beat Ward as well, as good as Ward is, he started slipping against Froch late on and showed a small vulnerability, Joe was known for finishing strong.

Jones is clearly the greatest fighter in the short history of the 168lbs division. Calzaghe gets far too much credit for the length of his reign, when his competition for much of it was poor even by WBO standards.

Calzaghe deserves the no.2 spot based on his longevity, but there are plenty of difficult h2h match-ups with other champions in the division - prime Eubank, Benn, Liles, Toney etc.

Ottke achieved just as much at 168. I know most people seem to hate him, refuse to acknowledge him, but it is what it is.

    greatest ever

    ??

thsi si a fairly new division

ever ? doesnt count for much

in the past these guys were all known as lightheavies

if you group all the 168 with the lightheavies of all time he would be nowhere to be seen
