As in lack of motivation, focus... or is it a technical thing, such as going back to old habits and not wanting to adapt to new things, like cutting the ring off, and moving to his right??
The most obvious sign that Pac is declining is that Floyd is being more vocal now. Suddenly he found his long lost urge.
Indeed, more than anything, he seems to have lost some of the fire. Physically he's probably declined somewhat, he's been in a lot of wars and he's already 32. He started young as a pro like Morales and Morales was 30 when he fought Pac the 2nd time and a lot already considered Morales completely shot by then. But like I said, I think the problem is more mental now than anything.
Floyd is the exact same fighter he was when he fought Gatti.. completely and entirely in his fighting prime.. actually he is better in that he is much bigger now, whereas Pacquiao is far from it. The difference with Mayfailer is that he didnt need to run from Ortiz because he sucks, but Ortiz was on route to koing him thus the sucker punch. Bottomline... If Joy Jr beats this version of Pacquiao he gets absolutely no props or credit but if Money Pac beats Gayfeather he gets all the accolades and must be considered for top 5 ATG.
The real test to see how badly he has declined is to put him in there with a Mexican fighter that will come forward and not box him. This will tell you everything you need to know.
:rofl:rofl:rofl aha u *******s are really ******ed. the same mayweather that fought Gatti? are u crazy? he has nowhere near the same reflexes, footwork, speed or accuaracy dumbass. its all good tho. cuz u know and i know Floyd will DESTROY pacquiao. ur just another ******* that got a reality check after the marquez fight and realized that Manny NEVER would have beaten floyd so ur already making your pre-fight excuses about pac declining cuz u know hes gonna lose. ur afraid to eat your words cuz of all that **** u been talking. your already planning on discrediting floyds victory over pacquiao but clame pacquiao should get credit if he wins? **** your ******* double standard atsch
Like I said before... the only REAL WAY to tel is to put him in there with a Mexican fighter that comes forward and has little head movement/defense. This way you will be able to accurately gauge Pacs fighting prime. Dont put him in there with someone who can box, but someone who just comes forward.
*******S are MIA from this thread which is ****ing Funny Silence is deafening ... They have no rebuttal everyone thinks he is declined ARUM must know it to, after just losing to an old LW which he had to make some moves to protect his cash cow by gifting PAC the win.... He knows he can't feed him to mayweather just yet until he squeezes out some more money out of him before cashing him out. All HAIL the Great Marquez, The WW Champion.
This is a relevant point. It's actually in exchanges in which people get a sense of his speed where he'd beat people to the punch, or quickly sidestep to utilize angles. You don't see these kinds of exchanges with "boxers". The fight gets more tactical and you don't see Pac all over the place throwing punches in bunches. Less action gives you the illusion of him slowing down. That said, Pac actually looked fast to me the last time out, at the very least in his handspeed. Again it wasn't easily apparent because the pace of the fight was slow, but when he did throw punches; they were short compact and very fast. Pachaters would tell you slomos don't count but what it does show is how rapid Pac's punches were and that his so-called ineffective flurries were not only landing with regularity but was catching JMM by surprise and was doing some real damage.
I had forgotten one thing before I strated this thread. That thing is everyone has a bad night. You just can't perform at the same level as you did before. This thing can happen to every fighter. Do you guys think that this can be the case? BTW, my thread has nothing to do with making excuses as some people said above.
We are in absolute agreement my man. All these *****-ass Pacquiao fans are doing is just planting the seed - having documentation of their excuses when the inevitable happens...So that they can find their old post and threads and say: "WHY DID FLOYD WAIT TIL MANNY WAS DECLINING?" I created a thread prior to the Mosley fight asking: "Has Manny Pacquiao improved as a Fighter?" And sure enough all of the nuthuggers went on & on about how magnificent of a fighter he is now as opposed to "pre-135lbs". And I LAUGHED MY ASS-OFF!!! My reply was simply this..."How can a fighter improved when he hasn't fought anyone to make him improve". Who tested his Boxing skill, his defense, his counter punching his footwork and who has he fought that has or had any real speed or Boxing Ability? Clottey, Cotto, Margarito..etc allowed Manny to continue with OLD HABBITS. And I told any and everyone who would listen that JMM is smart, crafty and a 38 year old fighting well-above his best weight will make Pacquiao look ordinary...Watch!! See one of the many post about that below Here is a better question for the Nuthuggers. I challenge all of you to find any post and/or thread where you guys said Pacquiao was DECLINING, SLOWED AND/OR LOST A STEP prior to the Cotto fight? or the Margarito fight? Or even the Mosley fight? And if anyone bothers to look....you'll find these same nuthuggers ALL PREDICTING A PACQUIAO EASY KO WITHIN 6 ROUNDS prior to the JMM fight. IMO, Pacquiao is just as strong and fast as he has always been....BUT HE JUST HASN'T IMPROVED IN OTHER AREAS...PLAIN & SIMPLE. It's Jaw droppingly Amazing that Pacquiao is still sloppy, with awlful balance and footwork, No defense and still hasn't developed a jab after 60 Pro fights...All while supposedly having the Best trainer in the World, MIND-BOGGLING!!!
Manny, like Mike Tyson relies on Speed, reflexes, power and fitness/stamina to defeat his opponents. Those are the first things to decline with age so of course he is past his prime. Add to that he's got 2 jobs.
