i honestly think that mayweather stalled until pac started slowing down so that he would be confident of victory. all that losing the urge stuff and other bull****. however now the tables have been turned because after showing sings of decline in his last two fights, no way arum is now letting pac near mayweather. as for the guerrero fight, if it's true that's disappointing, i would much prefer a fight against cotto or alvarez, hell even an ortiz rematch would be better.

I'd just like to hear from anyone of you about Markarian and his credibility as a source. The ESPN local scribe doesn't seem to know much about this guy either :D Just because you have a domain doesn't mean you are credible.

Don't see why he would fight Guerrero over Canelo or Pac.

Neither Guerrero or Alvarez are acceptable fights for Mayweather. Another LW, and one who just won a bogus title at JrMw by beating an low ranked WW for it. I doubt many floyd fans will have the balls to admit that.

Edit: Glad to see a few are actually against a RG fight. Should be the same for Alvarez though.

Close lose to Williams was hes last fight and he has offered to fight at 154 for Floyd, Pacquaio and Cotto.

Actually just check boxrec and both Williams fights happened at 160 but both were basicallly 154 fighters anyway.
But hes last fight at 154 was Cintron were he was robbed of a knockout and a decision in that fight.

the more i think about it, who else can floyd fight without taking a serious risk, which he obviously isn't doing? cotto is still tied in with tr, martinez is high risk low reward, gbp aren't willing to risk alvarez just yet, after the jmm fiasco arum will never let pac go against a counter puncher again, etc etc.. dont see any viable opponents at 140 that arent in top rank, except khan who has just lost... arent many options left for mayweather realy...

Which means they already have an opponent lined up, and its not Pac.

How will they sell this? Even with 24/7 it will struggle to break 800k buys.

But maybe Floyd sees this as an easy tune-up to a Pac showdown in Nov?

Either way, this would be the first Mayweather PPV fight that I won't buy.

Canelo is acceptable and Cotto would be a great fight and both would sell big. But Guerrero? All he's done is troll his way to the big stage.
